Prakash Ghyal Rai, a passionate mountain guide from the Khumbu region, has a strong background in Nepalese tourism. He became one of the top mountain guides in 2014 after three years as a porter.
He is now an integral part of Ammonite Adventure & Treks and has completed Mountain Leader Course components 1 and 2 from the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) in 2017 and Khumbu Ice Climbing Level 1 in 2018.
He served as the federal president of the NMA and represented the Nepal Mountaineering Association Welfare Fund under the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), which has also won iconic mountains like Mera Peak, Island Peak, and Lobuche 11 times, 20 times, and 13 times, respectively.
He is excited to be part of the diverse Nepalese tourist community and to lead nature lovers to their dreamland amidst the hills and mountains of Nepal.
